  Great location next to tram and train station, clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff, easy and fast check in and out.

  A clean and well maintain property, just opposite the SBB Train Station and next to the trams of Basel. Very convenient and staff very courteous and friendly. Would definitely stay here again when in Basel.

  NOT SO GOOD - Breakfast - not as good as we have had previously at Hotel Victoria (we have stayed for a few nights twice before). Food was sometimes over cooked. Food was sometimes dry and stuck to the serving dishes. Not such a good variety of bread. We felt rushed because the staff were setting the tables up for lunch, even though there was still 50 minutes before the end of breakfast time. One morning at 09.20 we were asked to sit in the foyer area rather than in the breakfast room because the tables were being set up for lunch - we did complain and after that the staff kindly reserved a table for us in the breakfast room each morning - GOOD. NOT SO GOOD - our hotel room - clean and well appointed. Bed was not comfortable. Cleaner did not vacuum every day. GOOD - one evening we accidentally broke a glass and the reception staff were excellent - they came up and vaccumed the area, even though it was around 23.00 hrs. GOOD - Reception staff - always very helpful and friendly. GOOD - Dining room - always clean, staff excellent. GOOD - Bar - excellent staff, very helpful and knowledgable. GOOD - Parking - underground parking, secure, easy to use.

  Found this hotel via online search and it was a great find. Better than I anticipated! The hotel is right opposite Basel SBB station and perfect location. Our room was large, spotlessly clean and very well appointed; very comfortable bed and quiet. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We received travel cards free of charge, for use on trams etc. Unfortunately, we were only staying in Basel overnight before heading home but hope to stay longer on our next visit. Very impressed. Highly recommend.
