  Magnificent. Great service. Class all the way. Right on the Rhine River. You would be hard pressed to stay in a nicer hotel.

One of Switzerland's oldest hotels, situated on the banks of the Rhine with a magnificent interior to complement the views. Les Trois Rois (the Three Kings) is an incredible spot for upscale dining, drinking, events and accommodation in Basel. It has a cosy bar with special afternoon tea service, an exhaustive whiskey menu and a humidor. Service is friendly, accommodating and welcoming. On-site you'll also find three outstanding restaurants: Le Cheval Blanc (Basel's only 3 Michelin-starred restaurant), Chez Donati (refined Italian cuisine) and my personal favourite, the Brasserie. Local tip: go for the Saturday lunchtime "shop stop shop" menu at the Brasserie, which offers 3 courses and a glass of champagne for 79 SFr - you won't be disappointed! Events throughout the year include special parties for Fasnacht, Baselworld, chamber concerts and Art Basel. They are not to be missed!

  Exceptional service and accommodations in the heart of Basel with view to the river. A true 5 star Grand Hotel!
