    For a busy airport really small, its sort of long and narrow. Not enough places to have a cup of coffe. And if you have too much time in between flights then its really boring. Internet is free for limited time but its anyway too slow. Public transportation to city is very good! Car rental is easy, a bus goes every 5 minutes to rental carpark. Security was. Actually reasonable quick and organized.

    L'aéroport de Genève est très propre et accueillant. En général tout se passe pour le mieux. Il est situé à proximité de la ville et accessible facilement depuis la France. Les toilettes sont toujours très propres et gratuites. C'est plaisant de voyager au départ ou à l'arrivée de cet aéroport. Il y a également une application mobile qui donne tous les renseignements utiles pour bien préparer son voyage et permet de profiter du Wi-Fi gratuit.

    I find most airports in the modern era to be not positive and not negative. Most of them seem to struggle at peak times, or when several flights land or are taking off at similar times. Hence 3 stars. Because there is no real pleasure in flying full stop anymore unless you are travelling upgraded using the business class/first class services, and that's based on speaking to people I know whom have used them. However on my most recent visit to the airport my experience at a time when it was a peak time was ok, they had opened an extra security area, which I had never seen before, thus making the trip from bag drop to duty free faster than what I have experienced in many years, and a shorter walk too, from the E Jet bag drop zone. Also at this particular security point, staff were far less anal about the liquids bag being sealed in the correct sized bag than at Liverpool airport whom were far more interested in trying to waste my time to buy a bag for a £1 , to add to their turnover just for the sake of it. When in reality, if you have just 3 items, all clearly not over the limit, and clearly visible in a see through bag that seals, does it really matter if the bag that seals along the top, is 3cm bigger than the bag Liverpool are forcing you to buy "just for the sake of their profiteering". Hence Geneva was a better experience on my return journey than my outbound journey from Liverpool. So the faster new route brought us, don't laugh, straight in to the main duty free shop. Which was a bonus, I needed to pick up some things for my wife and young children anyway. I asked a staff member to direct me, and was politely taken to the section I was looking for. A service which is not common place in a consumers experience in current society, subject to where one is in the world of course. After my duty free shop purchases, (not that the purchases were bought because of price benefit) the queue for a hot drinks etc was insanely long. We found plenty seating after a long walk for our group of 11. But that was a fluke. Thumbs down for long walk. But again, this for me is common place on many trips at peak times. Whether on a lads trip of with my family. The next stage of security going to the gate, wasn't super fast, had to queue, but again, repeat, this is common place in the modern world of travelling, tight security etc etc. On the plus side.......... The airport is clean, staff are not rude, not irritating, not wasting your time to make an extra cent at the expense on making a journey less pleasurable. But like many airports, it's clearly bursting at the seams at peak times. But I think this to be expected. Either way, if you arrive on time or thereabouts, the most important thing is, you get through everything on time, make your flight, arrive safely at your destination, and so on. As airports go, it's not bad. I've been to worse.

    Landing here is like landing at hell on earth. The 3 passport staff here take 45 seconds to check your passport. With a 200 person flight landing every 15-20 minuets you’ll be here for ages! One day they’ll install machines and lose these archaic boarder trolls. This is an international airport but landing you feel like it’s a back water jungle airport. It’s like stepping back in time. Not a positive experience at all. Switzerland should be ashamed!
